After staying long in the making, the first Tamil Nadu Affordable Urban Housing and Habitat Policy has been finally notified and it has been in the public realm for a few weeks now. Coming as it does, at a time when housing prices are steeply increasing, and owning or renting a house is possible only in far peripheries, the policy is a significant step. It has noble intentions and expands housing possibilities, including transit and rental housing for migrant workers. While this is a plus, in the absence of any reliable stock-taking, a clear statement of the problem and reassuring solutions, there are serious questions about the policy’s effectiveness.
Avowed objectives of the policy are three — first, the government will henceforth provide housing only for the very poor and ease its financial burden; second, it
Illinois’ coronavirus testing positivity rate inched upward for a third consecutive day Friday as public health officials announced another hefty caseload of 2,818 more people testing positive for COVID-19.
They were diagnosed among 71,599 tests submitted, raising the statewide average positivity rate over the last week to 3.8%. That number indicates how rapidly the virus is spreading — and that’s as high as it’s been in almost a month.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker warned this week that the state’s improvement from a midsummer resurgence has “cooled down.”
And while over the last few months, the state’s COVID-19 problem areas have popped up well beyond the Chicago area — mostly in central Illinois and downstate — the Democratic governor’s health team singled out north suburban Lake County for being among 26 counties considered to be at
Being a scout is a lot like being a private investigator and in this article, I have been tasked with finding the three things Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford must fix immediately, based on film study of the first quarter of this season.
However, to do this, I had to start by looking at the big picture. For starters, there has been a radical shift in offensive philosophy between last season and this season.
The thing that really struck me last season was just how aggressive the Lions were at pushing the ball deep downfield.
Stafford led the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns through the first eight games of the season before getting injured.
Detroit offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell returned to the sidelines in 2020, but it’s like aliens have abducted him and replaced him with a much more conservative clone.
It is unbelievable to me how conservative this offense
The dry conditions in FP3 meant improvements on Friday afternoon’s best efforts were immediate, with Quartararo the first bike mover on the combined order as he leaped from 11th to third.
Petronas SRT teammate Franco Morbidelli improved to second, while Valentino Rossi on the works Yamaha moved up to sixth.
With just seven minutes of the session gone, Quartararo had bettered Jack Miller’s 1m34.356s from FP2 with a 1m33.779s and improved to a 1m33.400s a few moments later.
Yamaha took control of the top of the timesheets from this point, with Quartararo going even quicker with a 1m33.301s before Morbidelli edged ahead with a 1m33.279s.
Quartararo once again deposed his teammate with a sequence of session-best laps which culminated in a 1m32.974s.
The Frenchman returned to top spot with 12 minutes to go following another brief spell leading the standings by Morbidelli, with Quartararo lowering the pace to a 1m32.319s
Xenia City Council will consider approving a plan for all the city-funded projects to come in the next five years, including about $2 million a year on streets and a new fire station on the west side of town.
The capital improvement plan has about $54 million of projects and improvements planned throughout the next five years. The city plans to spend about $2.4 million on streets annually, with some of those funds coming from grants, said Assistant City Manager Jared Holloway.
Holloway and City Manager Brent Merriman said conversations about some streets and storm water projects took a back seat in 2020 because of the coronavirus.
The city conducted a pavement condition index study in February 2020. Based on the condition of the streets in Xenia, the city plans for a minimum of $800,000 a year to be spent on rehabilitating roads.

The Blue Line Improvement Project is nearing completion, but the final steps require a week-long closure of five Gresham stations.
GRESHAM, Ore. — Heads up for riders of the MAX Blue Line: TriMet is finishing some upgrades to the east end of the line in Gresham, starting this weekend. Part of the work involves rebuilding the only wooden trestle bridge in the entire MAX System.
The nearly year-long Gresham Max Improvement Project is in the home stretch, but that means there’s a week of station closures and shuttle-bus detours for riders who typically use stops from Ruby Junction to Cleveland Avenue — that’s the east end of the Blue Line.
Starting Sunday, TriMet will close those five stations to finish signal upgrades, improve the rail crossing at Eastman Parkway, which will close a section of the parkway for one day, and make repairs to a nearly 80-year-old trestle bridge over
Sucker Punch Production’s hit game Ghost of Tsushima is coming to the PlayStation 5, the developer said this week. It’s not getting a PlayStation 5 rerelease that we know of yet, but it’s been confirmed that the game will be playable on the next-gen console via backwards compatibility and will benefit from some of the core upgrades offered to games on the new console. It’ll be playable on the console the same day that the PlayStation 5 is released, Sucker Punch said.
The update on Ghost of Tsushima was shared by the developer shortly after PlayStation shared a bunch of details about the PlayStation 5’s backwards compatibility feature. For those who’ve been progressing through the game on the PlayStation 4 and don’t want to have to start over, you can bring your save file with you so you can pick up where you left off.
On the PlayStation 5, the
Samsung is rolling out a second OTA update for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in less than a week’s time. The earlier update included the October 2020 security patch along with the usual improvements and bug fixes. This new OTA update is currently rolling out for Galaxy Note 20 Ultra users in Germany and is claimed to improve battery life.
It comes with the build number N986BXXX1ATJ1 and is 255.63MB in size. As per the changelog, the update will also bring stability improvements for dark mode and the camera. However, the company hasn’t revealed the specifics of these improvements. It remains to be seen how well the cameras will perform with the updated Camera app.
While the changelog also mentions the October Android security patch, the previous update already included it. Interestingly, the regular Galaxy Note 20 hasn’t received
