Palm Springs comes to the Mornington Peninsula at this entertainer’s dream home, which was revamped with the help of a celebrity interior designer.
The sellers of 16 Bellbird Road, Mount Eliza engaged The Block judge and Blankcanvas Interiors founder Shaynna Blaze to design the eye-catching residence’s kitchen and bathrooms as part of a substantial renovation.
The four-bedroom house, with resort-style grounds on a substantial 2928sq m block, has now hit the market with a $2.15-$2.35m price guide.

Marshall White Mornington Peninsula selling agent Dominic Salvato said the property was built in the 1970s, to a mid-century design that had a “Palm Springs vibe about it”.
The vendors’ renovation, completed over the past 18 months, involved updating the interior “from top to toe” and fully refurbishing an existing pool, adding a spa.
“Shaynna helped with the styling, mainly in the bathrooms and kitchen,” he said.
Blaze’s kitchen boasts high-end appliances, large engineered-stone benches, and plenty of storage — a feature Blaze regularly comments on while judging projects on the popular reno show.
And her main bathroom and ensuite contain funky fish-scale tiles, stylish showers with frameless screens and rain showerheads, Timberline vanities, and Victoria + Albert sinks. A bath completes the larger bathroom.
Soaring cathedral ceilings and expanses of glass ensure natural light fills the home’s open-plan living, dining and kitchen space, which opens out to decking on either side.
Mr Salvato said one side offered views of the bay, while the other overlooked the pool and palm trees.
Other highlights of the “perfect entertainer” include a main bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows framing panoramic views, and a day lounge connected to a 160-bottle wine cellar.
Prospective buyers can inspect the home via a Zoom tour narrated by the selling agents and guided by the owner.
Mr Salvato expected families and sea changers “looking for space”, and an escape from the city, to compete for the property.
