Missing brothers, ages 6, 11 and 13 found safely at mother’s home

Three young brothers who police say ran away this week from the Department of Children’s Services office have been located unharmed, Metro Nashville police announced Thursday morning.

The boys, ages 6, 11, and 13, ran off late Tuesday from the office building at 500 James Robertson Parkway.

The children were found safe at their mother’s Nashville home Thursday at 9:30 a.m., police spokesman Don Aaron said.

On Wednesday, police asked the public for help in locating the boys as police youth services detectives had been concerned for their safety due to their young ages. 

“We (MNPD) will be working with DCS to try and put protocols in place to dissuade something like this from happening in the future,” Aaron said.
