‘You’re in labour aren’t you?’: eventer welcomes baby son straight after show

An eventer who went into labour while attending a show has welcomed a healthy baby son, having made it to the hospital in the nick of time.

Cheshire-based Bonnie Fishburn had been at a show four miles from home with her husband Tom Hollins and miniature Shetland pony Mr Pegs on 20 September – a week before Bonnie’s due date.

“I woke up after midnight and it felt like I was having contractions 20 minutes apart. I had been having Braxton Hicks [false labour pains] earlier in the week so I put it down to the same thing and thought it was a false alarm,” Bonnie told H&H.

“At 6am I got up and bathed Mr Pegs for the show, didn’t tell Tom or my mum Lynn what had happened and we carried on to the show.”

Bonnie said as the morning progressed, the intervals between contractions became shorter.

Letter: Poor response to protests does not show leadership | Letters

A new homeowner is going to hang a heavy picture on the wall. He picks up his hammer and nail and proceeds to drive the nail into the wall. It only goes through the drywall and stops. The calls for more police, more National Guard, encouraging vigilantes is just beating the nail into concrete. Working to ensure that all Americans feel they are

Home and remodeling show helps flood victims get back on their feet

GONZALES – Vic Sauniers and his wife lost their Gonzales home in the flood and are currently living in a FEMA trailer.

They say their new home will be elevated, built on top of a mound of dirt.

“We want to be prepared so when the next flood comes. We don’t want to deal with any water,” Vic said.

He decided not take any chances and is acting as his own contractor and building his own house. So he attended the Home and Remodeling Show at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. There he looked for sub-contractors to do the actual work.

“I’ve been planning for about three months and today I’m getting to put eyes on so it’s really great,” Vic said.

Every type of service homeowners need is being offered at the expo. Lumber compaines, painters, tools and kitchen cabinet companies are all featured at the event.
